DAY 13: SING AND MAKE MUSIC!
Brothers and sisters, let us sing and make music with all our hearts to the Lord! The world would like nothing more than to throw heaviness on you like a wet blanket. Snuff out your flame. Let us stand together and put on the GARMET OF PRAISE!
We worship our King because He is THE KING OF GLORY! We praise Him, not because we are happy, but because He is WORTHY! The enemy wants to steal your praise. The enemy wants to keep you from prayer because he doesn't want you to go where God is taking you.
When the Heavenly council came before the Lord, the accuser joined. He was prowling the earth looking to destroy. The Lord said, "have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." (JOB 1:6-8)
The accuser then told the Lord, "Does Job fear god for nothing?...have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has?" (JOB 1:9-10a). So the accuser told the Lord to remove the hedge and see what happens. God did and told the accuser that everything (except Job himself) was now under his control.
To sum it up, the accuser took everything for Job and even his friends sinned but Job never sinned in the eyes of the Lord.
To all of this, I say to you, if you are in a season that never seems to end. A constant and relentless storm. Maybe, just maybe, your name came up in a conversation in the heavenlies.
No matter the difficulties, God is still worthy of all the praise, glory, and honor! So let's praise Him!
PRAYER FOCUS: Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in pslams, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music form your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
